Meet the staff of ECEAT-Projects

Drs. C. van der Laan (1962)

Graduated in Social Geography (Amsterdam and Nijmegen University). Carolien studied human geography and became a specialist in recreation in natural areas. She has worked for several organizations. She started to work for ECEAT in November 2002. For ECEAT-Projects she has worked on the Leonardo da Vinci Project ‘Hospitality in Rural Tourism’, a networking project in order to create a European course in rural tourism training. Nowadays she is coordinator of the Rural Tourism International - Training Network (RTI-TN) www.ruraltourisminternational.org. Activities in this network are a.o. the organisation of the Leonardo valorization conference ‘SYNERGY 2007 - towards international cooperation in rural tourism training’ and co-trainer in the RTI-TN train-the-trainers courses. She has also developed sustainable tourist packages in the Netherlands (www.groene-arrangementen.nl). Key qualities: execution of projects, logistics, practical organisation and communication.
